Chemonics seeks a finance professional for a five-year, USAID Early Grade Reading project in Mozambique. The project aims to help improve the reading abilities of students in Grades 1 through 4 nationwide by enhancing reading instruction, increasing parental and community engagement in support of student reading, and creating safe learning environments for reading and institute pathways to sustainability. Individuals authorized to work in Mozambique are highly encouraged to apply. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business and/or public administration, accounting and/or financial management; or equivalent master's-level academic degree
  • Minimum eight years of experience in financial management of international development activities with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Experience working in Mozambique or other Southeastern African countries
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Portuguese required
