Location: Central Darfur, Sudan
Islamic Relief Worldwide is currently recruiting for the position of a Sub Office Co-ordinator based in Central Darfur, Sudan. The post holder will be responsible for the Management, Coordination and Implementation of Islamic Relief Worldwide Sudan programmes in Central Darfur State.
The post holder will coordinate programme activities with national authorities, United Nations agencies and other international agencies/organisations to ensure efficient allocation of resources. S/he will ensure that all the guidelines and systems agreed are followed in all areas including financial, procurement and personnel. The post holder will represent and liaise with key stakeholders including community leaders, local authorities, government, UN agencies, donors and representatives of international and national NGOs.
The post holder will have a post graduate degree in development, social science or any relevant field. Experience can substitute for a formal qualification, but not vice versa. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of senior management experience in developing countries and/or countries in transition/conflict. The candidate will have experience in successfully developing and managing programmes funded by institutional donors. It is mandatory you have English, Arabic or local language skills to be able to effectively fulfil the responsibilities of this role.
