Our area of focus is in Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Livelihoods & Employment, Civic Participation and global issues such as climate change and emergency response.

D4L

We are looking for a talented and passionate young people to volunteer in Dance4life project. D4L is a dynamic international initiative that actively involves young people. It encourages young people to use their voices in stopping the spread of HIV and AIDS and breaking down the stigma and taboos that surround the pandemic. Dance4life visits schools with specially trained teams that inform students on the current HIV and AIDS situation around the world and in their own country by using Heart Connection Tour team through infotainment tools such as drumming, music, video, and, of course dancing. The young people in the schools and their involvement are the powerful heart of dance4life. The project uses more volunteers to deliver the program at community and secondary school level

Volunteers will be responsible in delivery of the project, be engaged and focused throughout the cycle of the project.

The dual objective of being a D4L volunteer with Restless Development is to actively contribute to the delivery of a D4L project, while also focussing on your own personal and professional development.

To strengthen Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights ( SRHR) clubs in schools and youth clubs ( Community Action Group) in communities

To deliver and supervise SRHR secondary and primary lessons in rural government schools to enhance knowledge of students on SRHR, life skills through non formal education techniques.

To support young people to lead (through youth clubs) the development of themselves and their communities.

To conduct training and workshop for community Action Group (out of school youth) on SRHR, LIVELIHOOD issues.

To conduct Peer education training for schools students to lead class room sessions on HIV/AIDS and life skills education.

To conduct community seminars for out of school youth on SRHR, livelihood and Gender issues and provided peer advice for youth.

To work in partnership with Government Organizations, schools and community Based Organization.

s clinic day, Health education day, essay competition video shows to raise awareness at the local level.

To prepare monthly reports and training/ workshop

Must be between 18 and 25 years old

A passion for the role of young people in international development

A belief in the values of Restless Development

A full commitment to deliver the program

motivated with the ability to work flexibly and on own initiative

Sensitive to the needs of others and committed to learning from an D4L placement

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to plan logically, managing a varied workload and working environment

Fluent in written and spoken English and Swahili

A basic understanding of development issues, e.g. poverty, advocacy, sexual health

cultural environment

Experience of working/volunteering in rural areas of Tanzania
