Job Title: Project Support Officer

Contract length: 12mths

Reporting to: Assistant Country Director - Programmes

General Description of the Programme

First operational in Uganda in the late 70’s, GOAL Uganda’s current country programme uses a systems approach to address the root causes of systems failures, where we believe we can leverage sustainable change and increase resilience. Systems programming is grounded in context specific research and analysis in the agriculture and WASH sectors and researched and designed through a resilience lens, in order to build capacities.

Geographically, GOAL Uganda works across six target districts in the North and East of Uganda to promote socio-economic development. Within these districts our programme focus is across the Health and Economic, and Food Security sectors. Cross cutting initiatives, considered essential to leverage change in these two sectors, have been designed into the programme from a resilience perspective to address contextual shocks and stresses and stimulate more empowered communities. GOAL also manages a Health Accountability programme which spans 16 districts across Uganda.
