In 2010, the Ministry of Women Affairs, Gender and Community Development launched the Makoni Pilot One Stop Centre for survivors of Gender Based Violence. Following the successful implementation of the model and lessons learnt, the Ministry is scaling up the model to other provinces hence the need for Standard Operating Procedures to guide the operations of the One Stop Centres. It is against this background that a consultant is being sought to develop Standard Operating Procedures for One Stop Centres for survivors of GBV.
Purpose of the Consultancy
The purpose of the consultancy is to develop standard operating procedures for One Stop Centres.
Specific Objectives
The consultant will carry out the assignment with the following objectives:
· Consult with relevant stakeholders in the area of Gender including government line ministries, civil society organizations and development partners in developing the SOP.
· Develop the Standard Operating Procedures, providing soft copies of the draft and final versions.
Qualifications and Experience of the Consultant
The consultant must possess the following attributes:
· Master's degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences or related field
· At least five years’ experience in the field of gender equality and gender-based violence programming.
· Knowledge on gender concepts, gender based development approaches with a special focus on GBV
· Proven experience of working with Government
· Experience of developing gender operational frameworks
· Good understanding of Zimbabwe Government Gender equality frameworks and systems
· Proven in-depth understanding of community interventions in Zimbabwe and interpersonal communication issues.
