United Republic of Tanzania: Request for Applications 005 (RFA) Promoting the sustainable management of the Mara Wetlands, Tanzania

Tetra Tech ARD, is the implementing partner for United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Kenya and East Africa’s Planning for Resilience Through Policy, Adaptation, Research and Economic Development (PREPARED) Project. Pursuant to the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended, and in accordance with USAID Contract No. AID-623-C-13-00003, is authorized to provide Grants under Contract (GUC) to meet its program objectives. The overall goal of the PREPARED Project is “*to* strengthen the resiliency and sustainability of East African economies, trans-boundary freshwater ecosystems, and communities.”

The PREPARED Project is seeking applications from qualified National, regional or local organizations; non-governmental organizations (NGO’s); or foundations to implement the “*Promotion of the sustainable management of the Mara Wetlands, Tanzania, a Biologically Significant Area (BSA)*.” Subject to the availability of funds, assistance will be in the form of a fixed obligation grant agreement, in accordance with Chapter 303 of USAID’s Automated Directives System (ADS303).

The selected applicant will implement a grant that will contribute toward the achievement of PREPARED Project overall goals. The specific required tasks and deliverables are outlined in the Terms of Reference (TOR) which can be found in Annex A.

All awards will be administered in accordance with applicable regulations listed below.

  • ADS303 and Standard Provisions for Non-U.S. Nongovernmental Organizations
  • 2 CFR 200 and 700
  • Applicable OMB Circulars

The PREPARED Project/USAID reserves the right to fund any or none of the applications submitted. Cost-sharing not required and is voluntary. Cost-sharing will NOT be considered in the review process but will be scored as additional points if the applicant chooses to propose cost-sharing. Proposed cost share must be in accordance with 2 CFR 200.306.
