IESC – the International Executive Service Corps – is a US based not-for-profit with a focus on supporting private enterprise in developing countries. We have worked in partnership with local people in 130 countries - mainly with the generous support of USAID - designing, implementing, managing and evaluating a wide range of market driven solutions along the entire value chain of a company or industry.
IESC is seeking a finance and administration manager for an anticipated USAID-funded program in Malawi focused on agricultural value chain development. It is anticipated that the program will sustainably reduce rural poverty and malnutrition through the integration of equitable market-led value chain development and nutrition interventions. This position will be full-time and based in Malawi.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial systems implementation, budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting and accounting;
- Assist the COP with oversight and reporting;
- Prepare monthly reports of field expenses in a timely manner, with full documentation, and according to IESC guidelines, and assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports;
- Maintain regular communications with IESC headquarters staff (program and administration, consultants) to provide timely and complete financial support;
- Supervise administrative and financial support staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in management or accounting or other relevant discipline required;
- Minimum of eight years’ of relevant experience in project financial management and administration of similar financial volume;
- Knowledge of USAID rules and regulations preferred;
- Demonstrated ability to work with and manage local national staff;
- Malawi nationals highly encouraged to apply;
- Fluency in English required.
