We are looking for an experienced and motivatedCOUNTRY PROGRAMME MANAGER to:
- support the Chad Country Director to achieve Cord’s vision and mission in Chad
- support quality and strategic peacebuilding programme development in Chad
- ensure the effective management of programmes based upon the approved plans, budgets and Cord standards as well as donors requirements.
- Ensuring that design, implementation and reporting of activities are carried out and coordinated internally and with other stakeholders following best practices and influencing it where appropriate.
- Provide technical support and capacity development of Field Teams,
- Provide timely and quality internal and external reports for the various Country Programmes/Projects.
- Ensure HR and Security management of Field Teams
The ideal candidate should have a strong background and qualifications in peacebuilding and/or international development and demonstrated experience in peacebuilding programme management. The successful candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, is committed to the values and ethos of Cord, and will be a well-organised, motivated self-starter with the ability to coach and mentor others. Cord is looking for a good team player who is able to live and work in an insecure and harsh environment and can use their skills and abilities to contribute towards Cord’s key objective to build peace through partnership in Chad. This is a full time post beginning as soon as possible.
The post-holder will be line managed by the Chad Country Director.
