CBM seeks to recruit an external consultant to conduct an End-term Evaluation for the “Low Vision Programme: Empowerment of People with Visual Impairment” which started on 1st January, 2012 to end on 31st December, 2014 with a one year cost extension to 31st December, 2015.
The evaluation will be used to assess progress of the low vision cluster program at the end of the 3 year period in achieving its stated results. The purpose of evaluation is to measure achievements, outcomes and observable trends both positive and negative. The overall objective for the evaluation is to learn from the implementation of the Programme so that lessons drawn can inform similar programmes in terms of planning, design, implementation and management to achieve the high impact.
The evaluation covers the period from inception of the project in January 2012 to December 2014. It also covers all activities implemented during the project period by both the donor CBM East Africa and implementing partners. Other institutions to be included in the evaluation are education offices, special schools and Kenya Society for the Blind (KSB).
Proposal Standards
The proposal (in English) should be no more than 7 pages, and is expected to include: The Introduction; Background of the consultancy company; Proposition on how the project would be conducted; and CV of consultant/-s involved in the project and examples of previous work should accompany the proposal.
